A Personalized Journey: The Spiritual World of Peru

Day 1 — Arrival in Lima → Morning Flight to Cusco

Arrival in Lima with a connecting morning domestic flight to Cusco (approx. 1 hour). Transfer to our hotel in Cusco (***), with support for altitude acclimatization — coca leaves, plenty of water, and rest. Meet your guide, then explore the Main Square, the local San Pedro market, and the historic San Blas district.

Day 2 — Exploring Cusco

After breakfast, visit six remarkable sites — four impressive archaeological complexes:

• Sacsayhuamán
• Qenqo
• Puca Pucara
• Tambomachay

Plus two sites in the city itself: Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun). Afternoon free for exploring the city and local markets.

Day 3 — The Sacred Valley of the Incas

Departure at 8:00 AM by private bus to the Sacred Valley — a viewpoint stop at "Mirador," the Pisac archaeological site with its remarkable Inca stonework and agricultural terraces, then the Pisac town market (famous for handicrafts). Lunch in Urubamba, followed by travel along the Urubamba River to Ollantaytambo. Evening: hotel check-in, shower, and dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 — The Magic of Machu Picchu

Early train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu (approx. 2 hours). A full day exploring this Wonder of the World, with your guide sharing the history and mysteries of the Inca citadel. Includes a visit to the Aguas Calientes hot springs (approx. 2 hours). Return by train to Ollantaytambo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 — Pachamama & San Pedro Ceremonies

Two of the most significant ceremonies of the journey take place today.

Day 6 — Journey to the Manu Rainforest

Route: Ollantaytambo – Ninamarca – Paucartambo – Cloud Forest – Pilcopata. Departure at 6:00 AM by private bus, traveling southeast through the mountains up to roughly 4,200m elevation. Stops include the pre-Inca burial site of Ninamarca, and the traditional folk town of Paucartambo with its colonial architecture and stone bridge. As the route descends, the landscape transforms into warmer, lower jungle terrain. Arrival at sunset at Paraiso Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 — Huacaria Community, Lake Machuwasi, Shintuya Hot Springs

Early morning visit to the beaches of the Tono River to feel the stillness and energy of the jungle. After breakfast, visit the Indigenous Huacaria community, where locals share medicinal plant knowledge, ancestral wisdom, and perform a traditional ritual. Continue to the town of Salvación, then to Lake Machuwasi for a one-hour raft journey spotting birdlife — tanagers, cardinals, macaws, cormorants, and possibly toucans — while immersed in the sounds of the jungle.

Day 8 — Pantiacolla Trails & Local Farmers

After breakfast, a 15-minute boat journey upriver to the Pantiacolla Nature Reserve for an approximately three-hour jungle trek through untouched vegetation — palms, towering trees, monkeys, birds, and other Amazonian wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest, then an afternoon exploring another stretch of jungle and visiting local farmers growing cacao, bananas, and cassava. Optional evening night walk with a guide.

Day 9 — Return Journey to Cusco

Early departure back toward Cusco, with a stop at the famous macaw clay lick, where hundreds of parrots gather each morning to eat clay that helps remove toxins from their digestive systems. Visit to the Dos Loritos rescue center, home to birds and mammals rescued from trafficking or threats and rehabilitated for release. Boxed lunch stop in the Cloud Forest to take in the mountain and waterfall scenery. Afternoon arrival in Cusco with hotel transfer.

Day 10 — Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Lima, connecting to your international flight home.
